Smoke-sauna is an ancient seremony. Senior sauna heater dreamed years of his own sauna. He gathered ideas, experiences and material. Years later the Sauna was part of the landscape, the holy building of the farm.

SAUNA 2014

Sauna has been my favorite interest the whole year thru. 17th of January we met Tuomas M. Lehtonen the new president of Finnish Sauna Association, Suomen Saunaseura. Matti Salimäki was leading the election group meeting all candidates in advance and as a member of this group I had the opportunity to participate at this meeting. Tuomas M. Lehtonen started his first two years President post 1.1.2014. We told him our experiences from last five years work. Suomen Saunaseura has 4200 members and we need a professional leading group, people who has knowledge and experiences to manage for us important field.
Akseli Gallen-Kallela Tarvaspää museum invited with Göthe Institute 23.01.2014 Suomen Saunaseura experts to planning session. We wanted to organize four seminars with smoke sauna bath at Tarvaspää in May-June 2014. We heated 100 years old smoke-sauna six times at first two times to be sure that it will work well when the seminar guests entered the seminar with sauna. Tarvaspää sauna was a memorouble experience for 180 sauna lovers.
